<p style="text-align: left;">SXSW week was another fun, but draining adventure.  Let me break it down for you:</p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><strong>Monday</strong>:  Played a private SXSW party at the Gables Park Plaza apartment complex.  Had some fun with friends, and ate some sushi!</p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><strong>Tuesday</strong>:  Played at Thunderbird Coffeehouse with a lot of great friends.  You can read more about it <a href="http://www.jasonpoemusic.com/blog/thunderbird-coffee-post-show/" target="_self">here</a>.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><strong>Wednesday</strong>:  Had the day off, so I spent it with Todd and Ritchie (of <a href="http://www.apodiformco.com/" target="_blank">Apodiform</a>) and Hollie (Todd&#8217;s wife and a <a href="http://www.emblemcreative.com/" target="_blank">great designer to boot</a>).  We spent the entire day walking, and drinking Monster energy drinks.  Our stomachs burned with regret, and we called it a night at about 12am after watching a band setup for 50 minutes in the Emo&#8217;s Tent.  Thom Yorke can&#8217;t even get away with a 50 minute setup.  I still would have left.  We had fun none-the-less.  I haven&#8217;t laughed that hard in a long time.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><strong>Thursday</strong>:  Met the band at Cissi&#8217;s Wine Market for a show.  The great guys from <a href="http://rm64.com" target="_blank">RM64</a> stopped by for a visit.  Then I headed over to the Canvas Bar with some friends to see <a href="http://www.softreeds.com/" target="_blank">Soft Reeds</a> play a great set.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><strong>Friday</strong>:  Met the band at the <a href="http://www.hideouttheatre.com" target="_blank">Hideout Theatre</a> for an acoustic set put on by <a href="http://thesessions.com" target="_blank">The Sessions</a>.  The show went great and I got to perform and hang out with <a href="http://www.eisley.com" target="_blank">Eisley</a>, <a href="http://www.jaynash.com/" target="_blank">Jay Nash</a>, <a href="http://www.mollyjenson.com/" target="_blank">Molly Jenson</a>, and <a href="http://www.myspace.com/meiko" target="_blank">Meiko</a>.  After the show, I headed over to the Dirty Dog Bar for the <a href="http://rm64.com" target="_blank">RM64</a> party, where I got to see <a href="http://www.myspace.com/fitzsoulmusic" target="_blank">Fitz and the Tantrums</a>.  After the party, I went back over to the Canvas Bar to see a friend perform with <a href="http://www.myspace.com/romannumerals" target="_blank">Roman Numerals</a>. At the show, I ran into an old friend from Springfield.  We walked around for while after the show just talking about random stuff.</p>
<p style="text-align: left;"><strong>Saturday:</strong> Saturday was my busy day.  The day started with a show at the <a href="http://purevolume.com" target="_blank">Purevolume</a> House with <a href="http://joepurdy.com/" target="_blank">Joe Purdy</a>.  It was my only full band show of the week, and it went fairly well.  After playing, I jumped in the car and headed to the <a href="http://www.arabcowboy.com" target="_blank">Arab Cowboy</a> for a songwriter showcase, where I got to perform with some great songwriters including <a href="http://www.myspace.com/audramae" target="_blank">Audra Mae</a> and <a href="http://www.jakewalden.com/" target="_blank">Jake Walden</a>.  From there, we grabbed some pizza from <a href="http://www.eastsidepies.com/" target="_blank">Eastside Pies</a> and headed to the <a href="http://musicforthecity.org" target="_blank">Music for the City</a> show. The <a href="http://musicforthecity.org" target="_blank">Music for the City</a> show was packed, and I got to perform with a lot of friends including <a href="http://www.myspace.com/quietcompany" target="_blank">Quiet Company</a>, <a href="http://www.thesoldierthread.com/" target="_blank">The Soldier Thread</a>, <a href="http://mirandadodson.com/" target="_blank">Miranda Dodson</a>, and <a href="http://www.myspace.com/therealdannymalone" target="_blank">Danny Malone</a>.  It was a great way to finish the week.</p>
